TRIBUNJ -  small Mediterranean village with narrow streets and compact houses. The old part of town is built on an island which was later connected to the mainland.

Tribunj has emerged as a fortified castle on a small islet with narrow streets and compact houses, where people fleeing from the Turks found their shelter. The old part of town was built on the islet. A stone bridge connecting the island to the mainland, was built much later, and a  new village developed around it. During the tourist season the traditional celebration, Tribunj and Fishermans night are organised.
