SKRADIN - popular nautical destination whose beauty crown three most

Skradin is a little town situated 16 km from Sibenik, with history of more
than 2200 years, where the river Krka and the Adriatic Sea live harmonious
coexistence, where the continental climate approaches the sea, where the mixing
of fresh and salt water enables successful farming of shellfish and fish. Whilst
fishing for centuries has been a major city industry, tourism takes ower in
last few years.
In prehistoric times there was Illyrian settlement which was called Scardona,
and later a Roman municipality. From that period are visible remnants of plumbing
and building, and epigraphic monuments. Above the town are the remains of towers
and walls, Venetian and lather Turkish fort.
Skradin is the traditional town where you can enjoy dalmatian folk songs,
and celebration of bowlers Carnival celebrations, and certainly the culinary
delights that provide restaurants and taverns with Dalmatian smoked ham, home
–made bread, fresh fish and seafood, barbecue and excellent wines.
