About Ugljan

The island of Ugljan is a Croatian island located in the Zadar Archipelago. It lies northwest of the island of Pašman and southeast of the islands of Rivanj and Sestrunj. Separated from the mainland by the Zadar Channel, Ugljan is connected to Pašman by the 210-metre Ždrelac Bridge, which spans the Ždrelac Strait. The island has a population of 1316 and stretches 22 km in length and up to 3.8 km in width.

Ugljan is known for its lush Mediterranean vegetation and attractive coastal areas, characterized by numerous bays of various sizes and shapes. It is relatively densely populated, especially along the northeast coast, where seven small, but charming towns are lined up. The largest town is Preko, followed by Ugljan.
