For years, Saturday has been the heartbeat of the Adriatic charter rhythm. From morning check-ins to late afternoon departures, marinas across Croatia come alive with rolling suitcases, provisioning carts, and the anticipation of another unforgettable week at sea. At Croatia Yachting, we have proudly welcomed more than 3,500 families per season aboard our fleet, a number that translates into more than 3,500 check-ins and check-outs across approximately 15 peak Saturdays in six charter bases. And that’s a lot of movement.

And while the energy of a classic Saturday-to-Saturday charter has its charm, we asked ourselves: Can we make the experience even better? The answer is called “Mid-week charters”.

A New Rhythm for the Adriatic

To enhance comfort, flexibility, and the overall guest experience, Croatia Yachting is introducing Wednesday–Wednesday charters on selected boats. These yachts are already available to book on our website, giving guests a refreshing alternative to the traditional Saturday changeover. From May 16th onwards, the minimum stay remains seven days, now available in a Wednesday–Wednesday format for selected boats. During the shoulder season, from March until May 16th, we are offering even greater flexibility, with Saturday–Wednesday and Wednesday–Saturday options available.

The goal? A smoother, more relaxed beginning and end to your sailing holiday.

Why “Mid-week charters” Makes All the Difference

Saturday remains the main changeover day in Croatia. Across the coast, hundreds of boats check in and out at the same time. The atmosphere is vibrant, but it can also mean waiting times at marinas, fuel stations, base offices, and on the roads leading to the coast. Midweek departures completely change that dynamic. With a Wednesday start, guests enjoy:

• Less crowded marinas and ports
• Shorter waiting times during check-in
• A calmer, more personal marina experience
• More space in bays and anchorages
• Easier access to popular hotspots like Hvar and Vis
• Less congestion at fuel docks
