Šibenik, the oldest Croatian town on the Adriatic coast originally founded by Croatians, situated in the protected natural harbour at the estuary of one of the most beautiful karst river Krka. The harbour, connected to the open sea by the St. Ante channel, has been the initiator of the maritime, trade and economic take-off the entire city for centuries.

Šibenik is a city that successfully combines its glorious past and natural beauties in its surroundings. In the 15th and 16th century it was one of the most important Croatian humanities and the Renaissance Centres in which the famous writers Juraj Šižgorić, Antun and Faust Vrančić, and many sculptors and builders gathered around Juraj Dalmatinac created their best works.  This was the period when the famous monument of Šibenik, the work of the famous Juraj Dalmatinac was built. We are talking about the Šibenik cathedral, the Cathedral of St. James. It was built for more than a hundred years and is a testimony of perseverance, sacrifice and faith of generations, and since the year 2000 it is under protection of UNESCO.

Šibenik Riviera, with its 249 islands, islets and reefs, of which only few are inhabited, national parks and rich cultural and historical monuments, is a true jewel of northern Dalmatia. Visit the International Children's Festival, Šibenik cultural summer and Evenings of Dalmatian Chanson that had become a summer tradition in the town of Šibenik. While staying here, don’t miss to visit restaurants with seafood specialties on the island of Murter and famous wine cellars which are located in many ethnic villages in the area. For those who want all night entertainment a nearby disco club Aurora in Primošten or Hacijenda in Vodice, are the ideal choice.
